The vermilion darter (Etheostoma chermocki) is a species of fish in the Percidae family. It is endemic to Alabama.[2] On December 7, 2010, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service designated 21 kilometers (13 mi) of stream in Alabama's Jefferson County's Turkey Creek watershed as critical habitat for the darter.[3]
